Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Kim Ji-Won: Her intro post #4....

Ji-Won fans should be pleased as after over a two year absence have a pair of posts for her today. The posts for Korean actresses seem to be getting much more popular, not in the same league as Idol posts go but they do attract many more readers than posts for Japanese actresses. Actually was planning on doing a different post which was a review of her 2012 film "Horror Stories 1".
Thought it consisted of five short stories and that Ji-Won starred in the first segment followed by the other four. But that wasn't the case as her mini movie interwove with the other four and didn't feel like watching all 110 minutes today after I discovered that's how the film ran. So will have a pair of posts coming up soon for the movie, she also starred in it's sequel and though I haven't come close to finishing the film did take a few screenshots.

Ji-Won played a kidnapped student in the film, her kidnapper couldn't speak so that's why there are screenshots of the man's writing. He asked for her to tell him some scary stories which was what the other four parts consist of. Little bit of many things today but won't go overboard as I'd like to have a few more of these posts soon and it appears there's been plenty of activities from the past two years that I'll be getting to.
Ji-Won is now 25 and has become so much more popular than the last time there were posts for her. "Descendants of the Sun" really made her quite a big star, looks like an interesting drama but just don't know if I could sit through sixteen episodes. But after that series Ji-Won's next one had her finally in a starring role which was the "Fight for My Way" series that aired last Spring and Summer. On to a few mag spreads and there haven't been too many recent ones featuring Ji-Won but do have a pair of older ones. This first set is somewhat recent from the September issue of Marie Claire.

Lot of catching up to do for 2016/17, these next two spreads are from 2016 with this one being from the March edition of Singles.

Second spread from 2016 is from the July issue of Sure.

Not sure if these could be classified as a spread but these pics are from the December Star 1.

Those above pics were promoting J.Estina handbags and purses, Ji-Won has been working with the company for many years and these are from their Autumn collection.

Ji-Won also appears at so many events for J.Estina, she's probably been at four this past year. Pics here are from a fan signing session that took place on September 9th at the Lotte Store in Jung-gu, Seoul. Not sure if she was impressed with her cutout figure but sure many fans would love to own one of them. After the classy pics check out a short video of the event.

  1. Guess I should get to watching "Fight for My Way". I like Joong-Ki(the male lead actor) and am liking/getting to know Ji-Won a bit but "Descendants of the Sun" idk still haven't gone to ep2 haha. Been watching a couple of k-dramas "Friends"(Dunno if that's considered 'K' or 'J', Kyoko Fukada is in it) and "My Fair Lady"(2003) coz Go Soo was in it and it was going good coz there was less singing during the show and the female lead(Kim Hee-Sun)looked real pretty(+ some scenes were shot in straya! YEAH!) until 5 eps in and I'm slowly getting salty with the main guy. It's like Zenkai Girl where the side character girl was more likable than the main girl and wants to get with the main guy but the main guy wants the main girl...now I'm gonna continue watching it.

  3. Guess I'm sold on 'Fight for My Way', what a long list of need-to-watch there is now. Speaking of 'Zenkai Girl' you are correct about the side character as I liked Misako Renbutsu so much better than Gakky in the drama.
