Juice=Juice: "Budokan" drama episode four recap and "Next Is You" PV

Air Dates: February 6 to March 26, 2016 for eight episodes on Fuji-TV
Air Time: Saturdays at 11:40 pm, average rating was 2.73%

In this drama Next You is a struggling Idol group which has had so-so success to date. They have a single which I presume is "Next Is You" and that song hit #15 on the charts though their managers are a bit disappointed with that showing. The group's goal is to one day headline a show at Budokan, they have a long way to go before that goal can be attained. There are five members in the group, in this drama none of them use their real names and here are the starlets, their second screenshot gives a little info about the character. The "Next Is You" song was their single current single when the show aired and you hear it twice an episode.

Will use that above paragraph for all of the posts along with these pics for all of the main characters, for this second episode we didn't meet any new ones.

Akari Uemura as Aoi Dogakiuchi

 Yuka Miyazaki as Rurika Tsurui

Sayuki Takagi as Mayu Adachi

Tomoko Kanazawa as Hana Sakamoto

 Karin Miyamoto as Aiko Hidaka

These are the other main characters who have appeared in both episodes.

Seiji Rokkaku as 'Professor' Hakase, a fan of the group who often posts about them on the internet and attends all of their shows.

Keisuke Koide as Jun Natsume, the group's producer and songwriter.

Houka Kinoshita as Yoichi Nomura
Yuta Takahata as Haruki Maeda.... both of them are the group's managers though Nomura is the senior and seems to know everything about the Idol industry.

Ryo Yoshizawa as Daichi Mizushima, Aiko's best friend who lives upstairs from her.

Every episode has been a tad better then the previous one and this by far seemed to be the best show, shame this series isn't longer than eight episodes. Unfortunately in the last episode Rurika was attacked after a show by a deranged security guard, sure many of you remember that AKB incident from a few years ago. Not how the group wanted it to happen but that attack has really increased their popularity and while the iron is hot their managers have booked the group for their first tour.
That attack took place on Valentine's Day, now it's March and schools have a Spring break. That's a perfect time then for a mini tour which proved to be another successful venture for the group as they performed about ten concerts with all of them selling out. Every episode features one member a bit more than the others and this time it's Aoi's turn in the spotlight.

As you can see from the above pic Aoi has been offered a small part in a drama that will be airing in the Summer. Though a small part her manager highly recommends that she accept the offer as it's one more effort which will make the group and her more popular so she readily says yes. But besides that great event for Aoi the group has more fabulous news as they've been invited to appear on their first TV music show, never was said what the show was.
Taking that part in the drama was both good and bad for Aoi. Good as it's helping the group become even bigger and even more concerts are lined up. The bad news is that Aoi is over exerting herself, she's becoming so rundown plus she barely made it to a concert on time and after that show she was whisked right back to the set of the drama.

Kind of surprised more of Aoi's pushing herself too hard wasn't featured more, really nothing after almost arriving late for a performance. But in a one on one chat with Aiko she tells her she'll do anything to keep the momentum going and at least the drama will be ending soon. Aiko is the youngest member but she seems so much more mature and knowledgeable than the other members and Aoi and others seem to go to her for advice.
One neat thing was that when the group was on tour there were posters of C-ute and other H!P groups on the walls. Have no idea what to expect in this series so wonder if any other group/member will make a guest appearance? One other minor event is that the new school year has started and for the first time Aoi and Aiko are in the same class and even a few of their classmates are starting to become fans. Seems like this was the shortest recap of them all but it was the best episode so far of the four shows and have a feeling they're going to keep getting better.

These last two months have watched more dramas than the previous twelve months combined so think I'll take the weekend off from them. Next week should finish the recaps for this and the "ON " drama which has been an excellent watch. So far highly recommend this show for H!P fans and it being the norm for me here's more screenshots from the episode.

BONUS!!

Weren't as many screenshots as usual so check out a bonus after the pics.

"Next Is You" is the theme song for the show and it was released three days before the first episode. It's the group's seventh single and best selling one to date. With C-ute disbanding next year know they're going to become my fave Hello! Project group. The bonus is that here's the PV for the song which is subbed plus some of the covers for the single.
